Music:
Exululamus is intended as spiritually healing and community building. The music is improvisational, uses instruments from around the world, and is grounded in mercy, compassion, humility, and respect. It is always changing and inquiring.
Hand-made instruments:
I also make musical instruments for sale. I am at the beginning of this. So far I have been making hand drums with clay and goatskins. They cost more to ship than I’m willing to charge at this point, but stay tuned for Noohkeek Sounds.
Scholarship:
I write an informal political blog, and some write on folklore for Mythology Journal. These are available on medium.com@kfitz.music . I’m also working on a book on global fascism and peacebuilding. I have done graduate coursework in anthropology and history, and dropped out of both programs after finishing the coursework, and before submitting my MA theses. My anthropology research was about heavy metal music and community in Central Europe. My history research was on musical community construction in medieval monastic practice in Central Europe. My present global interest also includes musical culture, musical criticism, folklore, political economy, religion, international justice, and peace.
